Telford community group

About this event
Our local community groups are a great way of connecting to other people with SCI, their friends and families and they offer regular opportunities to socialise.
The Telford community group usually meets on the first Thursday of the month, from 11am-1pm at The Anstice, Telford.
It is an ideal opportunity for people affected by spinal cord injuries to get together, have a chat and a coffee in a relaxed environment. People come along to discuss their own situations, share experiences and challenges and just to get to know others who live locally that are going through the same issues. Friends and family are more than welcome to join too.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, and has accessible toilets. There is also plenty of accessible parking at Tesco’s which is located right opposite the venue for easy access. Please go to the back of the building where the lift is located.
For more information or if you have any questions contact Brendan Fitzgerald (SIA support coordinator) [email protected].

Meet your host – Brendan
Hello! My name is Brendan and I’m your SIA regional support coordinator in the West Midlands I was injured in 1998 as a result of a fall from a wall. I sustained a C5/6 spinal cord injury and spent a year at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. It’s left me with limited mobility and sensation from the shoulders down.
If you’ve recently become injured, already living with a spinal cord injury, or are close to someone who is, you’re in the right place. You can book a support session, book a call or find out more about the upcoming community groups by contacting your local support coordinator.
