Introducing our champion for small business Milly Fyfe
We are delighted to introduce you to Milly Fyfe, our new SIA champion for small business.
Milly is an award-winning digital marketing, PR, events, and fundraising specialist, a farmer, parent, and social entrepreneur from West Northamptonshire. As the founder of a small business that helps to provide simple recipe ideas using in-season British food, her latest venture offers educational workshops for schools, community groups and corporates.
After sustaining a spinal cord injury eight years ago during childbirth, Milly lives with pain and fatigue, which she manages daily alongside parenting, farming, and running her business. She is keen to spread awareness of spinal cord injuries and hidden disabilities by speaking openly and honestly about her experiences.
As our new SIA champion for small business, Milly will provide the ideas and the know-how to follow your own path after spinal cord injury when it comes to setting up and running a small business of your own choosing. As she shares the challenges and triumphs of a small business owner, we hope she will inspire members to follow their passions.
SIA have been a huge support to me whilst I navigate living life with a spinal cord injury. I want to use this opportunity to raise awareness of the condition, and despite adversity, what can be possible.
Meet Milly
I am passionate about field-to-fork education and I’m proud to fly the flag for British Food and Farming as a farming representative for the West Northants Sustainable Food Network.
I have established a community interest company called No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC, helping to provide consumers with a connection between food produced in the UK and tasty recipe ideas. I farm in Northamptonshire with my husband and two young children, which comprises of beef suckler cows, sheep, arable, some rare breed pigs, chickens and a kitchen garden.
We’ve just opened The Countryside Kitchen, a fully immersive on-farm classroom offering field to fork educational workshops. I am also a presenter on N live radio with a specialist food and farming show. I was named Northamptonshire Business Person of the Year 23/34, a top 100 UK female entrepreneurs through Small Business Britain, and am the youngest female not originally from farming to receive a prestigious associateship from the Royal Agricultural Societies.
An ambassador for the Farming Community Network and The Farm Safety Foundation, I received the Rose of Northamptonshire award, a She Inspires National Women in Leadership award, and the 40 Under 40’s award for Agriculture in 2024 for my work supporting my local community. I also won the inaugural John Nix award from The Worshipful Company of Farmers in recent times.
