The Winter issue of Forward magazine is out now!
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the festive season with our winter issue of Forward. Cosy in and relax with our beautiful, sixty-page lifestyle magazine brimming with real life stories, news and updates from across the spinal cord injury community.

For winter, our stories focus on the gift of giving and we celebrate how through the simplest of acts, lives can change. We hear from Sonia who was compelled to volunteer for SIA after a call to our support line helped turn her life around. We also speak to Katie Neild who laced up for a half marathon to raise money for SIA after her sister Emma was injured during a rollercoaster ride when she was just 13.
We explore incomplete spinal cord injury in a four-page health special, featuring advice and insight from our clinical specialists and counsellor. SIA member Navid Falatoori shares his story following surgery for a spinal cord tumour which left him with an incomplete SCI. He tells us: “I felt disabled and different and like the world was looking at me differently so while I was doing relatively well outwardly, there was still so much going on underneath that I didn’t really get any help to process.”
Also in this issue:
