Education & Training

SIA Education and Training

Through the SIA Academy we provide education and training and develop social research projects. All these activities are based on needs which have been fed back to us by spinal cord injured people and those who support them.

Courses for Spinal Cord Injured People

We are delighted to invite anyone involved in the personal care of an SCI person to book onto our new Study Day ‘Caring with Confidence’, which is taking place on 5 October 2017 in Manchester. Please use the menu on the left of this page to view up to date information on this and other training opportunities.

Our series of courses for spinal cord injured people is currently being reviewed, as we look at ways to make them available in a variety of formats so that individuals can learn and interact with others from the comfort of their own home as well as access some in an accessible venue in their area. Details of these developments will be made available on this website, in our magazine forward and through our email newsletter, eclips.

Training for Professionals

At the current time we are delivering training for healthcare professionals, solicitors and case managers.

Just use the menu on the left hand side of the page to access more information about all of our training courses.

Based at SIA House in Milton Keynes, the SIA National Library of Spinal Cord Injury is available for anyone who wants to access more information on spinal cord injury. Ring SIA House for more details or to arrange a time to visit the Library.
