Partnership with UK’s first disabled discount site

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Purpl – the UK’s first disabled discount website.

In 2003, Purpl founder and CEO Georgina, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a chronic neurological condition that affects the central nervous system. For many, such a diagnosis might seem like a daunting roadblock. However, Georgina approached this dimension of her life to learn and used her experiences to fuel her professional and personal mission. Through her lived experience, she saw first-hand how expensive it is when you live with a disability. Recognising a gap in the market, she launched Purpl, in July 2024.

From the first spark of the idea of Purpl, Georgina knew she wanted to partner with charities to give something back to the disabled community. And within the first six months, she has achieved this goal by partnering with Spinal Injuries Association.

She shares: “I’m delighted to announce that our first charity partnership is with Spinal Injuries Association. Supporting the disabled community beyond discounts is a core value of Purpl, and this partnership is a meaningful way for us to give back. From November 2024 to March 2025, we will donate 20% of funds raised through our promotional brand activity to Spinal Injuries Association.”

Spinal Injuries Association said: “We are thrilled to be working with Purpl to support the disabled community. This collaboration marks an important step towards easing the financial challenges of living with a disability, while supporting our members to lead more fulfilling lives.”

What is Purpl?

Georgina is a disability advocate who has created a supportive environment where she employs disabled staff and people with a lived experience of disability, who understand the unique needs and barriers that the disabled community face and can continue the Purpl passion and ethos of ‘Nothing about us, without us’.
