#SeriousSh1t - campaign update

We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the launch of our major bowel care campaign This is #SeriousSh1t, the aim of which is to stop SCI patients suffering harmful neglect through being denied essential bowel care in some medical settings.

MORE DETAILS OF THE CAMPAIGN

The campaign was formally launched at the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Spinal Cord Injury meeting in March, since when we’ve had numerous offers of help and support from people such as our partners and business members, MPs, healthcare professionals from inside and outside the NHS, SCI people, charity partners, NHS Trusts, care agencies – the campaign has clearly resonated with a wide range of people!

It was also great to be able to convene wider and more detailed discussions about the campaign, and consider ways in which we can drive it forward, at the APPG follow-up forums. Huge thanks to all those who were able to attend, and we look forward to developing some of the excellent ideas that were generated as the campaign evolves.
