Summer 2025 Forward MagazineWhen we hear summer, we think holidays! So, we’ve packed this issue full of information to get you started on your summer fun. Staying in the UK? See our map of the British coast, locating reader-recommended accessible beaches across the country. Heading abroad? Read about Graeme Rudd’s experience of Seatrac, a system to help SCI people gain access to the sea at locations across the Mediterranean. Head to page 20 to start your holiday planning!

This issue is also packed with incredible real-life stories from across the SCI community – meet John Cressey, Abbie Webb and Ian Wyllie, amongst others. John is a SCI artist, ceramicist and sci-fi writer – hear what his art means to him. Ian embarked on a solo sailing adventure around the UK and Ireland after years in a nursing home following his SCI.
