Rebuilding Lives Conference 2024
Our 2024 Rebuilding Lives Conference took place on 13/14 June at Stadium MK in Buckinghamshire.
This annual event brought together healthcare professionals, legal experts and people from the spinal cord injury community to present and discuss some of the key issues affecting the community, and how we can make positive changes going forward.
Dr Niall McCann opened the conference with his incredible story of adventure and recovery, followed by a huge array of speakers, covering topics from unconscious bias in healthcare, to women’s health; rehabilitation to exo-skeletons.
A Call for Action
Our expert panel discussed the need for a national spinal cord injury strategy to improve patient outcomes, followed up by our director of programmes, Mark Ridler introducing ‘A Call for Action’ which seeks to work in collaboration with the NHS and other key partners, to address inequalities and improve the life outcomes for patients and their families whilst saving resources.
