Our SCI Specialist Clinical Team have won Bladder & Bowel UK Clinical Excellence Award 2026
We are delighted to reveal that the Spinal Injuries Association’s SCI Specialist Clinical Team has won the Bladder & Bowel UK Clinical Excellence Award 2026.
The Bladder & Bowel UK Awards 2026 are a celebration of outstanding contributions to bladder and bowel care. From pioneering clinical practice to innovative, patient-centred product design, this year’s winners have demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving the lives of people living with bladder and bowel conditions.
Chosen by panels of expert clinicians, researchers and individuals with lived experience, each winner represents the very best in leadership, innovation and impact.
The Clinical Excellence Award honours individuals, teams, or projects that have significantly enhanced patient care through leadership, innovation, and collaboration.
Our judging panel of clinicians and experts in bladder and bowel care particularly valued the team’s combination of hands-on specialist support, education for health and care staff, and national campaigning to improve neurogenic bowel care.
Thank you so much to the Bladder & Bowel UK, and the judging panel for recognising our vital work. Congratulations to all the other winners and nominees, and we look forward to collecting the award at the Northwest Symposium in March.
BLADDER & BOWEL UK AWARDS 2026
Our team of spinal cord injury (SCI) specialist clinicians is here to ensure every person living with SCI gets the very best care wherever they receive it. The team is made up of SCI specialist nurses and an occupational therapist with many years of combined experience and a unique understanding of SCI.
The team helps hundreds of people with SCI every year, offering advice to them and their relatives, helping them complete vitally important documents and ensuring that carers are trained to the highest standards.
